This is a feature packed device. I had hoped it would eliminate the need for several gadgets on my night stand. In addition to being a alarm clock radio, it’s a wireless charger, sound machine, and a night light.The included instructions are a bit sparse, but point you in the right direction. It took much longer than a 3 second press on the power button to turn this thing on. I was able to set the time and alarm fairly easily using the instructions. The six control buttons are rather small and located very close to each other. This isn’t a problem when ‘working’ with the device, but make for difficulty when trying to do things while half asleep or in the dark. Most of the buttons have multiple purposes based on how they are pressed, short press, long press, double press. I needed the instructions to remember how to do things. Also the volume up/down buttons are not adjacent which was confusing when adjusting the volume or setting the time…however in Bluetooth audio mode, the button interval makes more sense since the play button is between prev/next.The fast wireless charger worked well. There’s no information included which states the size of the included battery backup. I’m not sure if it’s simply enough to keep the time during a power outage, or if it could be used to recharge the phone, or that it is even included, since it’s not referred to anywhere except to say the red OC light stays illuminated until charged.The clock display is easy to see, but during daylight the other indicators aren’t clear due to the cloth covering. However they are easy to see at night. I couldn’t find an auto-dimmer, but there are brightness levels available.The nightlight is the most flimsy part of the device. Though not fragile, It’s probably the first thing that will break. It must be raised to display the light, though can be kept down against the device top.The sound machine is functional, however I didn’t find any of the sounds to be soothing, but maybe I had the volume too high. I don’t normally use a sound machine. I’m not sure if this would fit the bill, but it does ‘mask’ other sounds which may be the real purpose.I wanted to like this Alarm Clock, but couldn’t get past the difficulty with using the buttons.
