I did a lot of looking before I settled on these pillow inserts. I wanted them for my new chairs on the front porch. They’re the perfect size. They are well stuffed and far from being flat. You will need to fluff them up after receiving them as they are vacuum sealed. It doesn’t take but a few seconds for the pillow to start plumping up. The filling is little squares of foam, along with some loose fine long fibers. It’s really a very well made pillow and the material is very soft and smooth. When you unzip the pillow, there’s a flap of long material you unfold that holds the filling in, which makes it easy to zip back up. It also means you can adjust the firmness/softness of the pillow by removing filling or adding to it. As far as water resistance, I have not had them long enough to know. I did purchase a pillow cover that was water proof so I don’t see there being any issues there. They look very plump and full in the new pillow covers. These are the first pillows I’ve had that I didn’t have to put them in the dryer to fluff them. I find them very comfortable and good support for my back without being overly firm or soft. Very happy with purchase and would definitely buy again.
