This replaced a 25-year-old Sears gas grill that we’ve been patching together for the last 15 years. I wanted something with a cast aluminum shell (back in the day they were all this way) and those are hard to find now for modest investment. This fit the bill perfectly. Assembly was a challenge as it got banged up in shipment and some parts were slightly bent. I guess is a somewhat common thing for this manufacturer and model. I was able to get it assembled after two beers LOL. Follow the instructions for commissioning and seasoning the cast iron grills that come with it. Our maiden voyage with it so to speak was with marinated chicken leg and thighs or what you would call chicken quarters. Medium Heat took about 40 minutes but they were awesome. The key with gas grills is modest temperatures and the materials. Cast aluminum grill shell being preferable to stamped steel. Also the aluminum top acts as a thermal sass and helps reduce fuel use as opposed to all of the stamped fake stainless steel gas grill bodies that have been on the market for the last 15 years. They look pretty but they don’t cook so great. I bought the matching cover from the manufacturer and it fits great and is of very high quality. I would recommend Broil King. Canadian manufacturer.
