I purchased this unit to replace an older clock radio that had failed. I was surprised how difficult it was to just find a basic clock radio to use as a wake up alarm. I also wanted good quality sound and FM reception, features that my previous device could only be rated as marginal at best. To make a long story shorter, the Lersco clock radio performs wonderfully. Its sound quality is very good by my standards. Likewise, the FM reception is also very good. The display can be dimmed in increments so that it doesn’t keep me awake at night. The alarm functions work well once one understands the setup procedure. The instruction booklet could be better written given the multiple buttons to control the unit’s functions and to understand the screen display. I have not used the USB charging port.
